Behind-the-Scenes Support

Strategic Case Screening

Not every case needs a detailed report. If your firm handles a high volume of birth injury cases, I’m happy to conduct a focused obstetric review and provide a verbal assessment to help you determine whether the medicine supports moving forward. It’s a practical way to gain experienced clinical insight early — without overcommitting time or resources.

Merit Review and Case Analysis

When a new case comes in, the first question is simple: what actually happened?

I review maternal and neonatal records in detail to assess standard of care, documentation, causation, and overall case viability. You’ll receive a clear breakdown of strengths, vulnerabilities, red flags, and potential counterarguments — so you can decide next steps with confidence.

Detailed Chronologies and Timelines

Birth injury cases involve a lot of pages. And even more data.

I build organized, easy-to-follow maternal and neonatal chronologies that track clinical events, decision-making, and fetal monitoring. When appropriate, I anchor opinions to current standards and literature.

The goal is clarity — not overwhelm.

Annotated Fetal Monitoring Strip

A marked fetal monitoring strip is often the most powerful tool in a birth injury case. Prepared behind the scenes for counsel, I annotate the tracing to identify clinically significant patterns, escalation thresholds, and correlations to documented care. When aligned with the record, it creates a clear visual framework that strengthens deposition preparation and trial strategy.

Litigation Visual Support

When a case is complex, clarity wins.

I develop custom visual reports that organize and simplify obstetric data for litigation. These tools are designed to help attorneys see patterns, timing, and decision points with precision.

Examples include:

  • Annotated massive transfusion timelines with color-coded blood product administration
  • Labor progression and cervical dilation charts highlighting key clinical thresholds
  • Comparative fetal monitoring interpretation matrices to prepare for cross-examination
  • Pitocin dosage correlated with contraction patterns and Montevideo units
  • Visual timelines comparing documented care to Category II fetal heart rate management algorithms

These visuals are built for attorneys — to prepare, to question, and when appropriate, to present.

1:1 Fetal Monitoring Strip Review

Fetal monitoring can make or break a case.

I offer Zoom-based sessions to walk through electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips with you or your team. We can cover the basics or dive deep into labor physiology, decelerations contraction patterns, and how testimony and documentation aligns (or doesn’t) with the tracing.

These sessions are practical, interactive, and tailored to your case.

Ongoing Attorney Support

Think of me as your behind-the-scenes obstetric resource.

You don’t need to hire or train internal staff to interpret labor and delivery records. I’m available throughout the life of the case to answer questions, review developments, and provide clinical context as strategy evolves.

Deposition and Trial Preparation Support

The medicine drives the questioning.

I prepare attorneys for depositions and cross-examinations by clarifying key obstetric issues — from fetal monitoring interpretation to labor management — so your questions are precise, strategic, and anchored to the medical record. I can assist in drafting deposition outlines and cross-examination questions, and when needed, attend depositions or trial to provide real-time clinical insight.

EMR Audit Trail Analysis

Sometimes the chart isn’t the whole story.

Electronic medical records contain embedded metadata — timestamps, edits, alerts, internal communications. I review audit trails to help clarify timelines, evaluate testimony, and identify discrepancies in documentation.
